A Roundup of Our 10 Most Favorite Photoshop Keyboard Shortcuts

Ahh, Photoshop, what would we do without it? We love this Application dearly, yet we never seem to know all there is to know about it. This is especially true when it comes to keyboard shortcuts. Since every designer uses Photoshop in different ways, every designer knows a small(er) set of  shortcut. We hope this list helps you find some shortcuts you did not know about. These are brought to you in no particular order.

Shortcut to bring up a list of short cuts:
Ctrl + Alt + Shift + K

Shortcut to Increase or Decrease Photoshop Brush Size:
[ (Decrease Brush Size) and ] (Increase Brush Size)

Navigate the various brush tools in the tool window (currently there are 3 different brush tools):
Shift Key + B

Shortcut to to switch between the bucket and gradient tools:
Shift Key + G

Shortcut to drag selection around, after the selection was created:
Do not release your mouse click and hold down the SPACE Bar

Shortcut to zoom to 100%:
Double click on the Zoom Tool will zoom document to 100%

Shortcut to Select a Specific Blending Mode:
Opt Key + Shift Key + C, N, M, S

Each of these letters loads a specific Blending mode:
C = Color Blending Mode
N = Normal Blending Mode
M= Multiply Blending Mode
S= Screen Blending Mode

Shortcut to to hide (as well as toggle through) all panels :
Press Tab key

Shortcut to to duplicate the active layer:
Cmd (mac) Cntrl (pc) + J

Shortcut to change the color of the your work area (the area around your document):
After selecting a Foreground color you like switch to the Paint Bucket tool and then
Shift + click on the work area (this is the area that is outside the document area)
