It seems that multi colored strokes are all the rage, here is a short tutorial on how to create them:
Step 1
Open a letter or A4 size document in Adobe Illustrator, make sure to set it to RGB colors.

Step 2
Display the Color floating window (by going to Window menu>Color). Then select the first color you want to work with.

Click to Display the Color Guide floating window (by going to Window menu>Color Guide), here you can choose colors that would compliment the original color you selected. (this one is for the those of us who find matching colors challenging)

Step 4
Draw a rectangle and then copy it by Shift+Option+dragging (on a Mac) or Shift+Alt+dragging (on a PC). Make sure to line-up the new rectangles all lines up. Now color each of the new rectangles.

Step 5
Bring up the Brushes floating window. Select all of your rectangles and drag them on the Brushes floating window. You will now be prompted to with a New Brash message, make sure to select New Art Brush and then click OK. You will then have to name you new Brush.

Step 6
All that’s left now is to draw a circle, choose it’s stroke color and click on the new brush you created in the Brushes floating window. Presto!
In order to create more, just repeat the process.
